Over 89 years of Service
1920:
In April of 1920, two young men became partners in their search for entrepreneurial fortunes in the industrial sheet metal
field. Philip C. Young, Sr. and Frank H. Bertke performed work ranging from simple metal fabrications to fabricating and installing complete
ventilation and dust collection systems.
1930:
In 1932 Young & Bertke became incorporated and continued to establish a reputation for innovation, quality and service.
1940:
In the 40s and 50s, a second generation helped move the company into the industrial equipment fields. Tooling, which
had been installed to support the war efforts, was perfectly suited to work heavier gauge metals, and so a plan emerged for the development of
component industrial paint finishing systems and air pollution control systems.
1960:
The engineering team took on new challenges as custom design, fabrication and installation became the primary mission
of Young & Bertke in the 60s and 70s. As the technology changed, Young & Bertke broadened their markets to include the automotive, appliance,
farm implement and machine tool industries.
1970:
As the 70s drew to a close, the Young family introduced a third generation of managers and engineers to the
corporation.
1990:
In the 90s, we expanded our markets again to include chemical, woodworking, paper and the aerospace industries on an
international scale.
With an Eye on the Future
2000:
In the new millennium, we keep our traditional ethics firmly in place while concentrating our efforts on innovation,
quality, and service. Young & Bertke Air Systems Company will bring experience and service to you. We will provide our customers with the most
efficient and effective solution to your industrial air handling, and pollution control systems, as well as sheet metal, structural steel
and other metal fabrication needs.
